the weather is getting more and more weird/strange..

just 3 years back, my sis is stuck in tw in late july cuz of a typhoon..
that's considered normal as july is e hottest mth of the year and it creates huge pressure at the vast Pacific ocean which leads to formation of typhoon that heads north..

then last year, e typhoon season in taiwan becomes early to mid sept instead

& now in late sept, e typical countries/region that is vulnerable to typhoon is just experiencing typhoon?!?
& e affected area seems to be bigger too..
thailand and vietnam are reporting of floods, and serious ones at that..

i really think the naysayers of global warming/climate change need to wake up to take the issue seriously..
what the scientists have predicted are coming true..
the wet regions are getting wetter and the dry regions are getting dryer..
shudders to think what will happen to spore..
given all e floods in the past year plus, is our drainage sys capable of dealing with a wetter sg??

another aspect which is observed is autumn is arriving later and spring is getting earlier..
i wld say its probably minimal impact for sg but im concerned what are the effects for temperate countries and will there be a global effect as well? not just in the form of weather but perhaps other aspects too..

all these being said, i bet my pragmatic mum is going to stock up on the rice..
so ya, i'll also be waiting to see any aggravation of food inflation.
