some thoughts on the headlines this week..
first, e famous Iphone 4 saga..
me n a few others were alr discussing abt this late last mth..
back then KK were joking tt Steve Jobs want us to be like L (e deathnote character)
but din realise e turnout of e event wld be Apple apologising to e public 3 times in one week..
i rem tt time during e pdt launch, Steve Jobs is still pretty proud over this innovation..
wat exactly went wrong??
i thought all R&D will nid to go through numerous testing/trial b4 it can finally launch to public?
surely this prob wld hav been discovered earlier??
or they din think e outlash will be so great??
& wonder if this will dampen e dd for this upcoming phone..
quite a num of my frens due to several reasons alr say tt they wont buy..
then for me, im more interested in the Ipad.. lolz..
but its realli a want, if i buy le i dunno wat im gonna do with it..
must resist e temptation..
next a report says tt young females in spore has a higher chance of getting uterine cancer as compared to e region..
reminds me of some apps in FB right now to promote awareness of such cancer..
as always prevention is better than cure..
dun take youthfulness for granted..
finally is e removal of Pri 1 exam
although i applaud the move, i guess e more pressing issue is to how to change e parents perception..
so long as e parents remain kiasu, e kids will still be put through tuitions, enrichment courses etc..
& worse, given more hw now tt parents dunno how to gauge their child(ren) ability/performance..
nevertheless education is one aspect tt has no easy answer..
my personal feel is that let the kids enjoy their childhood..
