for those who are avid online shoppers will know that somehow spore beauty scene not veri exciting..

even though there are alot of brands in spore, there are still so mani brands that are not ava in spore!!

so its quite a pleasant surprise when i was window shopping along these days to see new brand launches..

1st up is Palgantong Powder @ Sasa
& then Etude House makes its way to Spore
next up is Dr Jart @ Wastons
following is Burt Bee's in Sephora
then its My Beauty Dairy ava in Guardian
& right now DHC is finally launching at selected Wastons!!

ok, these are wat i notice..
guess there are more brand launches which i forget abt e name of e brands.. lolz..

however my main grouse is that even though they are launched in spore, their prices are like chop-carrot-head..

for eg, DHC is still veri much cheaper if u buy in either HK or Taiwan..

then My Beauty Diary masks, even with its current promo, e price is still twice tt of Taiwan..

makes me realli wonder, if u bring in tt brand, cfm u got it wholesale from e country of origin which is cfm much cheaper than tt country's retail price wat..
then even if u include shipping charges and related logistics costs, rentals of warehouse and retail outlet, initial marketing costs, perhaps exclusive distributor fees and of course, profits, does it warrant a doubling or even tripling of e native country's retail price??

does it gives us a glimpse to how profitable beauty biz is in spore??

& with this increasingly connected world, if u price e items too high, wont ppl go to buy at tt country of origin??

although yes, one may argue abt e cost of flying there, i dun think its difficult to find frens who are going overseas to help u buy ba..

for me, this yr i alr know 5 grps of frens went Jap, 6 grps went TW, 2 grps went to Aust and another 2 grps went Europe etc..
& its not even Dec yet..
Dec i know of some ppl having some plans..
which makes it so easy to buy stuff from overseas + free shipping somemore.. =P


& i long to see more Korean and Jap brands launching in spore at more competitive prices.... ><
