most fun day @ work
kind of slack today.. part of e reason is cos e phone survey is onli scheduled to start next wk then for the scheme im in charge of, the deadline is still a bit far away so no sense of urgency =P
went to help gauge and comment about the other interns presentation skills in late morning cos they need to present some stuff at the department meeting later.. then we went for lunch together and started asking the 欠扁问答题 again.. lol.. think e rest must now have think why i am so crappy... shitto, think next time after the internship n when my name is mentioned, they will probably go, "oh tt super siao ger ah, she ah......" josh said tt this type of ques dun need to think one cos no matter how hard u think u still couldnt get e ans.. quite true, this type of ques is to listen to e ans n marvel at how some ppl hav either too much time on their hand to think of such qn & ans or such intelligence to come out with such qns to stumble ppl.. =D
went for e department meeting, its nothing that i expected.. half expected it to be a serious one with a lot of boring moments =D but surprise, it is a lively exchange between all of them with jokes being cracked etc.. Esp the issue about 'kids' and 'MR Reuter Chua'.. 哈 there's also coffee, pastries and chocolates passing around throughout the meeting.. wah, din know tt meeting can become a food affair... this certainly changes my perception of the department again..
as expected, we the interns are in no mood to work after the meeting.. end up chatting and laughing ourselves silly till 6.30pm.. heh..
anyway me n josh sit beside each other in e meeting, then think we appear rather close leh.. we were leaning towards each other most of the time and at times whisper to each other (another super familar scene again).. and to think that our supervisor and FK is somewhat opposite us!! oh no, dunno if they 看在眼里，放在心里，不说出来而已。。 wonder if others notice... our relationship? jus frens.. i treat him as a friend la.. someone whom i like to get to know better.. but dunno how he think of me.. up till now, i find him a gentleman, super helpful.. always asking if there is anything he can help me.. perhaps bcos im always e busier one.. lol.. n he is a well nurtured guy, dun think i ever saw him laugh out loud.. but his amused smile is rather unique.. his smiles can be sweet too.. heh.. then oso feel v comfortable with him but until now i din hav feelings for him.. or maybe i realli 迟钝?? my fren tell me to make a move first cos i've got nothing to lose, but ive got my own doubts and super lost.. typical libra... super indecisive.. haiz.. why am i always like tt? i dunno how many chances pass me by due to this characterstic of mine.. nevertheless, wat action am i going to take?? there is a saying 男追女隔重山,女追男隔重纱, how untrue.. or is it me worrying too much?? 烦烦烦。。。

US$31 billion donation!!!
was busy counting the number of zeroes when reading the newspaper jus now.. lol..
really admire Warren Buffett for his generousity.. and also the fact that he is donating to the foundations which his 'rival' Bill Gates is the founder.. he could well afford to set up his own charity fund/ foundation named aft him lor.. but no, cos he believe in the work the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is doing..
i hope this can set a good example for the super riches to come forward to help the poor.. i hav this impression that these ppl are not as forthcoming as their poorer counterparts when it comes to donating for a good cause.. esp true in china.. 正所谓“取诸社会，用诸社会” 做人得懂得知恩图报， 饮水思源。 而且毕竟钱是生不带来，死不带走的身外物。自己的子女也无需需要这么大笔的钱。。
hmmm, thinking about one of the three basic philo ques now.. why are we here?? i seriously dunno why.. but with regard to a chinese idiom "人生如梦"，觉得蛮对的。just like what john keynes say, 'in the long run we are all dead'. all the things we humans spent yrs or e whole life acheiving actually come to nought the moment we stop breathing.. quite a scary thought, i must say.. so why work/fought (in real sense) so hard when we'll be six feet under a century later? why did ppl not realise this point and make this world a less complicated & materialistic and a better environment to live in? 毕竟“本是同根生， 相煎何太急？”

watching soccer @ 3am & having to work @ 9am later = can die..
but surprisingly im punctual for work... dunno wat to say..
n wonder if its bcos of monday blues or too many ppl watching soccer, it seems like most ppl at my level were late..
due to my zombie mode, i 祸从口出.. kinda typical of me.. even when im wide awake, i can surprise ppl by saying things without thinking.. josh said he was utterly stunned then and kept saying i hav guts.. yeah right.. more like stupidity.. now realise why robert say im quite naive, 入世未深.. well i cant take back my words now, can i?
anyway went for a hair cut on sat.. imagine my surprise to see josh had his hair trim over the weekend too.. hor seh liao lor.. as if e 'rumour' spreading about us is not enough, now here comes another talking point.. Yan Lin & Zalifah asked jokingly whether we went to cut our hair together... (- -)"" i think FK is 看在眼里, 放在心里吧。。 oh no, how come this situation is repeating itself every now n then ah?
went to arts camp aft work.. feelings of nostalgia comes back to me when i saw e freshmen cheering and playing games.. it juz feel like yesterday when i went to arts camp 3 yrs back.. reminded me how fast time has passed.. even arts orientation wk 05 is almost a yr ago liao.. seriously feeling old..

wat a game!
jus finish watching Portugal vs Netherland
at first i thought this is e only game in round of 16 worth watching cos both are good teams and difficult to predict results.. however, i think e quality of e game is nowhere near Argentina vs Mexico..
although i lost $$ again all thanks to Mexico, i must admit that it is one of the best matches for now.. their speed, their attacking flair.. that is precisely wat makes soccer so captivating..
but this Portugal vs Netherland match, hmm, how shall i put it.. i think it is too violent a game such tt e beauty of e game is not realli there anymore.. 16 yellow cards & 4 red cards!!! omg... until now i have yet to see a match with 9 ppl on both sides.. n portugal actualli has no stirker for e 2nd half!! wat an unusual formation...
even then, Portugal still got a few chances at shooting.. Figo is really good, even though he is 30+, there is no sign of him slowing down.. for netherland, i feel that they have wasted a few chances and indirectly leads to them crashing out of e game.. rooting for them in this game simply due to e fact tt i know more of the players so feel kinda sad for them.. they do hav e talents that hav e potential to go far.. now it seems like they need to realise that soccer is essentially a team sport and not a one man show.. applies especially to robben..
it is also heartwarming to see Deco from Portugal & No 5 (cant rem e name =D) from Netherland chatting rather happily after both were being sent off.. and e subsequent scene of players from both teams hugging each other after e game, considering the violence at the pitch earlier on.. salute to both teams but a less violent game next time pls?
england definitely has the last laugh.. with coastino & deco being banned from the clash with england and the condition of C Ronaldo unknown, england has a slight upper hand now.. 真的是鹬蚌相争，渔翁得利。i wonder if its worth it for portugal to pay such a heavy price for this win..

not again... e one role which im super willing to give up.. very sick & tired liao.. and looks like it is not going to subside soon...
dunno how it started.. initially we were speculating XJ & SJ one cos due to some incidents.. then before i know it, starting from this week some colleagues were teasing abt me n josh.. perhaps bcos e ppl see me n josh on quite good terms then they think too much.. pls lor, we are under the same supervisor and need to do some assignments together so obviously we will appear close lar..
but then again, office work somehow need this type of stories to liven up the atmosphere.. so that office work is not so mundane and routine.. like how some of us joked that SN & RC are BBM and subsequently how me & yan lin joked that LX & Yix are BBM.. heh.. looks like i jus need to bear with it for the next few weeks.. haiz..

good to be back in e astro circle..
jus got back from dinner with e astro ppl... how fun.. and made me realise how long ive lost touch with astronomy... almost a year already.. this also means that i haven been keeping in contact with e astro frens... and this translate to distance between them.. jus now when having dinner i had this vague feeling.. although they have not changed much in terms of appearance, there is jus this invisible gap to be bridged.. its quite sad that some of them whom i know during my jc days and am rather close with then seems to be drifting away from me... the closeness that we once shared is kind of gone and we no longer can chat about anything under the sun.. did i feel a tinge of regret & sadness in my heart??
anyway cant believe another astrochallenge has come and go...NJC is the champion again.. with this win, it is now a 3 time champion.. dunno whether to be proud of my juniors or to be ashamed at my batch for achieving nothing then.. hmm, wonder what is the prize.. and also the budget.. last yr due to some unexpected mistake by NTU admin, i can afford to be a spendthrift and still earn a record profit.. hehe..
back to the dinner, wat is astro gathering without the usual jokes?? last yr aft astrochallenge comes joke of e yr.. seriously think my memory is failing me.. i jus rem last yr we were laughing so hard at LJS and making a din out of ourselves but cant rem e reason... it is only when KK mention it at dinner jus now tt i recall.. it is actually ME that initiates the joke lor.. ha.. the lactose-intolerant joke and it all started with me asking leonard a super innocent qn..
this yr without fail comes several jokes, all coming from the astrochallenge participants.. germ, our usual joker cum one of my shi fu, did not joke as much today.. it is zhaoyong that did more of the talking.. he has certainly changed after NS.. more chatty, more affable.. better looking? (lol)they include and definitely not exhaustive, the 'transformer', 'solar wind' (nearly faint when i hear this, its really omg..) and not forgetting 'bright young minds'... not to ridicule them.. in fact appreciate and encouraged by their interest for astronomy but obviously they lack some basic knowledge tt lead to these hilarious moments.. it also made me realise that one has to think through all the possible scenarios and details in order for any plan/proposal to work.. any loophole can lead to unintended consequences later on.. tough job...

intern 'party'
have another intern lunch gathering jus now.. surprised our supervisors when the whole gang of us went out together.. one of them jokingly ask are we having an intern party.. which is quite true. had lunch at e meeting rm.. hee.. and finally get to play bridge!! =D quite surprised to find that actually quite a no of ppl din know how to play bridge.. hmm, are the groups of friends im hanging out with simply old?? cos bridge is considered an old man's game.. heh ended up teaching them how to play although im not sure how much they can absorb within such a short time.. jus hope they get e game so that we can play next week again ^^
that is e onli 2 bright points for me today.. for e rest of e day, e work is realli drving me nuts.. im doing alliances with other departments due to e assignments my supervisor pass me.. well, i must say its a rather rare opportunity for me to interact with people from other departments but it can really be a chore.. contacting them is one, e sheer details (which i seriously dunno they existed in e first place) i need to take into account is another. planning for all scenarios and coming up with alternative solutions is another one tts driving me crazy.. seriously 疯掉. knock off mentally @ 5pm although i can only be off @ 6.30..
has been bugging for my colleague for advise for almost everything.. luckily he is quite patient and not once has he show his annoyance even though he has quite a lot of stuff to complete.. if i were in his shoes, i'll definitely blow my top liao.. heh
at times realli hope tt i can do some brainless stuff but human are realli unpredictable creatures.. if i actually got e easy tasks, i will most prob end up complaining abt e monocity.. lol..
also appreciate yan lin, josh n xiaojing' s help today.. actually its none of ur responsibility but u all are willing to help me when i merely opened my mouth.. heartfelt thanks. it is when i really wonder if im blessed like wat juening said countless times.. until now life has been smooth sailing for me except of course a few occasional academic hiccup.. other than tt, ive great friends, great colleagues, great family etc... am realli grateful for such arrangement made by heaven.. =)
went out with juening after work.. for a short shopping after work.. actually intended to drop by astrochallenge but due to poor sky conditions, it ended early.. nevertheless, some retail threapy is good too.. ha.. at least help me to destress. but i miss KTV...

was staring at e pc for a good 15 min b4 deciding it'll be a draw 2 days ago.. but all e ppl hav been telling me tt France confirm win one.. then i din wan to suffer further loss esp when im already losing $$$.. if only czech won ghana then, cos my plan will be to use e $$ from tt match to bet on this one.. for fun... since my objective of betting now is to recoup my loss, i din bet.. how ironic.. if i bet on this match, i will be breaking even liao (no gain yet, i think)..

soccer time...
watching world cup matches online.. hee..
supporting e underdogs.. lol..
its a pleasure to watch a Brazil match but somehow, e feeling it give me is that it is not as good as e last world cup. the flow is not really there. Cafu is definitely off his prime, Ronaldo not at his best. only catch a glimpse of the 2002 Brazil at e last few min, esp e goal by Fred.. super like Rivaldo or Ronaldo 4 yrs ago, fast reaction, grasping the chance as it comes along.. will this style be continued at e next match? with a place in top 16 being guaranteed, will brazil slack off when it is up against japan?
admiring e australians and feel for them at the same time.. they are so gungho and neva give up even though they are faced with this uphill task.. unfortunately lady luck is not at their sides, if not they would have actually scored against the Brazilians!!
has my first taste in soccer gambling.. result? overall loss!!! shitto.. e first match where e underdogs beat e fav (Czech vs Ghana) is the match i bet the most on the fave... actually seems like the cold wind is raging that day.. USA also manage a draw against the Italian although granted, it is an own ball...
through this i actualli understand why people can get so engrossed in soccer gambling.. to me, who is jus a newbie, actually has a urge to place a bet in all matches! imagine the amt of money 'thrown' in if i jus bet $10 per match! obviously its not a viable option for me since i am quite broke so i only bet on the matches that i am quite certain of the outcome.. nevertheless the ball is round, anything can happen and i ended up where i am.. sianz.. right now, i am trying to bet on more matches so that i can recoup my loss..
oh no, im behaving realli like a gambler now.. n im jus a newbie and e amt loss isnt tt much too!! strange, its not how i feel when i win nothing in 4D or Toto.. perhaps its bcos e probability of striking 4D or Toto is v low so i have already set my expectations rather low.. any winnings is somewhat a bonus.. but for soccer betting, cos im only betting those i hav confidence in, im not willing to see my $$ fly away jus like tt n try to win it back by betting in other matches.. n mind u, its only a small sum - peanuts even to most other ppl.. perhaps tts why other gamblers think too?? if that is really e case, those counsellors and relevant personnel shd hav a hard time convincing the problematic gamblers to quit gambling...

'rojak' blog ahead
hmm, dunno where to start...
lets talk abt world cup 1st..
haven watch a full match.. sianz.. stupid channel 5 only broadcast 4 matches, wat the....!!!! then still din go down to Mac to catch them.. unlike 2002, e timings is rather bad for me.. actually on any other day, i will not hav a prob pulling a all-nighter but working realli tires me out to do so.. furthermore i realli din wan to fall asleep during work =P (sleeping at 4++am then waking up at 7++ is realli no fun..) then with tuition, dun think i can find time to watch all these late night matches on fri n weekends.. sian man!!! but luckily its only grp matches now.. when it comes to the knock-off stage, perhaps i will squeeze out some time and watch some of them..
here comes the big question: who will win the world cup??
i personally like Brazil to win but there are critics who say the team is not as good as the last world cup cos stars like Cafu are already off their prime and the youngsters are not yet up to mark.. dunno leh, although i like soccer, i dun realli dwell into stuffs such as e players' details or in-depth analysis etc..
but if brazil dun win, who will?
france is aging, lady luck does not seem to favour italy in past world cups, england performance is jus so-so - judging by its first match, heard netherland got internal prob which can affect the players' morale, germany dunno leh - jus dun think it will win.
what's left is only argentina & czech republic.. hmmm...
realli think anything can happen la.. there is usually no absolute in world cup, jus like real life..
come to think of it, realli think e quiz that i did earlier is rather accurate.. i have a thing for maths, have several fav pastimes which are mostly dominated by guys eg like cars, like to watch soccer & major sports (eg basketball, tennis), then into astronomy.. reason? i dunno why leh.. maybe its how my brain functions affecting my choice or is it the other way round?? interesting..
the start of e world cup oso implies this is my 6th week @ work.. how fast!!! the 3 mth holidays is already 50% gone.. n to think i still got stacks of drama n movie haven watch, plus other stuff i like to but haven done.. at times how i wish there is 26 hrs per day so i can do more of my stuff.. lol.. perhaps i nid to better manage my time.. plus more energy needed, hee.. dunno why but i jus want to take a break and engage in no-brainer stuffs aft work.. even reading can become a chore, esp when im reading some detective book.. hence become a movie buff recently.. watched 5 movies in 5 wks - a record for me man. n i still like to go watch "Cars", wah.. no more money liao.. =D comparing movie to ktv, suddenly find that movie is cheaper.. cos ktv at nite quite ex, then longer duration too.. given my state of energy aft work recently, even dunno if i can tahan thro.. =[
heavier workload this week.. haiz.. din hav momentum to get work done, esp when some ppl dun reply ur email & pick up hp when you need their help to settle some matters. then my work oso quite micro, nid to get into e minute details which is definitely not my forte. since young, ive been 粗枝大叶, din pay attention to details and i remember my mum complaining where got gals so like tt one.. even up till now, e trait is still very alive in me.. im not observant enough, 有几次因不懂察言观色而祸从口出。im better at seeing the big picture so pls dun ask me to explain stuffs in great detail. how i wish i can pass it to joshua but he's on leave for e rest of e wk, lucky him... result? i nid to temporaily take over his work.. not tt im complaining, his work is actually more fun than mine, jus not in e mood to multi task.. tts why im neglecting my own work, luckily it got no explicit deadline, OTOT.. heh
but overall its not a bad day cos meet up with econs ppl today for lunch.. (^^) and i finally get to eat the ultra-delicious nasi lemak!!! went there several weeks ago but it has been sold out, so reali glad today i can eat again after so mani yrs.. my mum n i ate it a few yrs ago and we still gian for it after all this while!! nid to thank jingni for helping me to buy，sparing me the long queue =) then went to buy soybean ice cream later, its surprisingly good!!! credit goes to sylvia, its her that went to buy & try..

kinda pissed
Today is the first day I reach office before 9am.. enter the office @ 8.59am.. finally... lol.. has been a rather lazy day for me, and its not my fault!!! Im brain dead for one assignment so decide to give it a break.. cos no use staring at e pc screen for hrs.. then for another piece of work, still waiting for relevant personnel to reply me since last fri, wat the %$^&?! Three phone calls and 2 emails (email to office email hor, not private email) later, I still couldn't get her... either she's simply too busy or she cant be bothered with me - e ultra small fry since im really a nobody here.. dammit... is it so difficult to pick up her phone?? Handphone somemore!!! Granted, if it is indeed an inopportune moment to speak when I call, then at least reply my email lah.. but still no lor, after more than god-knows-how-many-hours.. I din demand immediate reply but taking one day to reply is probably more than enough right? wah lau eh, other ppl's time is not time ah??!! I simply cant move on without her reply lah.. she should know better that bank work is essentially cooperating wat.. why some staff (oso quite high ranking) can reply within e same day or pick up when I called but she jus cant?? Nabei...

It's Friday again
a rather slack week for me this week.. even resort to ask ppl to give me some work.. how unusual.. =D had my first taste of writing an article, realise my eng skills not really up to par.. still haven master the art of writing in eng even though for the most part of these past yrs, eng is so prevalent in my life.. then my standard of chinese has been on the downfall as well.. to my horror, at times i couldnt express myself well in chinese and need to use eng vocab to bridge the gap... haiz, 真是悲哀, 感觉像两桶半桶水, 两边不着岸。。。perhaps i should blog more in chinese such that i wont lost touch with it =]
anyway we have our first intern lunch gathering today!! finally... its kinda late to org this but better late than never, ya?
not all r present though, but confident that full attendance can be acheived next week ^^ well, enjoyed myself a lot.. playing some spactics games and the favourite 欠扁问答题。。surprisingly the guys are not too enthu about them, considering all my “师傅” are all guys.. perhaps they din realise gals can be so crappy & lame ba.. Joshua joked tt his IQ dropped by half after e session.. lol.. looking forward to such session in the future =)
at nite meet up with weiting n juening for dinner @ TCC.. to fulfill my promise to treat them if both my tuition assignments last beyond the first month. had a realli good meal, spoil myself for once in terms of food. ordered a full course, from main course to side dish to drink to dessert.. still hav lingering thoughts for the tofu... *yum* but when it comes to paying, a bit of heart pain.. it comes up to a total of $90.. lucky im only in charge of paying for all the main courses, so not tt bad.. hee..
weiting found a full-time job liao.. happy for her.. jus hope that she will not be as stressed as in her previous job.. hav a good chat during the dinner.. overall happy day for me =)

a few hrs rest
My supervisor is on MC today = no new work assigned to me!! Tried to complete one of last wk assignment but me & Joshua found ourselves bound cos there are too many pro codes which we cant fathom without e presence of our supervisor. Still, took a couple of hours to collate and finalise my phone survey results.. cant believe I actually took so long to do so.. cos its not much changes , just simply change the percentage figures.. dunno if my mind is numb from the lack of sleep or im jus plain WOLS..
well, now enjoying e hours of slack =] anyway got another new intern coming, which brings our number of interns at my section to 7. think we can challenge e perm staffs here liao.. lol.. but jus wondering why do they nid so mani interns?? issit a severe shortage of manpower? then wat will happen when our internship period ends??
anyway with e arrival of a new intern, another intern Zalifah, now needs to sit in e centre of the office.. poor her.. no privacy at all.. then one of e colleagues, seh ngi, joked tt all of us ( e interns) look like we r playing musical chairs.. quite true and must say i think im e tops in tis game.. =P e place im sitting now is my 3rd seat.. seh ngi still asked me if this will be my perm seat.. lol.. hmm, kinda enjoy e presence of more privacy and spacious workplace.. but still kind of miss my old pc cos it has a bigger screen and it allows me to listen to mp3s while working.. =D dunno if liu xuan like to change seat now.. but its also quite troublesome to change seats leh.. all ur files nid to be transferred here n there... verdict? i dunno cos it takes 2 hands to clap, hee

Weekend Special: Drama Review 2 - Full House
Review:
This is another popular korean drama after Da Chang Jin. but until now, i still dun understand why it is so wildly popular..
sure the chemistry between the male and female lead is great but even that cant make up for a rather weak script.. im considered a kdrama freak by my frens, having watched 30++ kdrama liao so u can say i know one when i saw a not so good script.. most of the time both the lead characters were just quarrelling and calling each other names.. what's so good to watch?? or perhaps e viewers who found it excellent haven watch previous similar dramas before..
dramas going along e same line includes "Attic Cat" and "Sweet Bride 18", both of which i think are better than "full house". although i watched 'attic cat' more than 2.5 yrs ago, i still can rem the touching and hilarious moments. for 'full house', although it has its own share of such moments too, its far and few in between. .

furthermore, i hardly fast forward any parts of a drama.. in fact, i rewind more than i forward!! so u can imagine my bore when i fast forward several episodes by more than 0.5hr without feeling tt ive missed out something.. for most of e epis, only e 1st 10 min and e last 20 min is not bad.. in e middle it simply drags...
but credit must be given to the songs.. they are so nice!! fell in love with them even before i watched the show!! that certainly says something..
and Rain is not particularly shuai lor.. i mean, there are many more good looking actors than him.. although his occasional soft gaze did make my heart skip a beat, tt's tt.. nothing more.. and to think im one which practically go ga-ga over the male lead when watching most dramas (eg Lord Min in Da Chang Jin, Zhang Yuan Chang in Er Zou Zhu Zhi Wen, both the male leads in Phenoix - the dramas i watched right before Full House)

i dun think mine is e expectation problem.. i did encounter tt b4 for "all in" but 'full house' is a totally different situation.. prior to watching the show, i read several reviews that are at either side of the extremes.. in fact e 1st review i read is a negative review!! so watched it with some skeptism.. i thought with no expectations at all, this drama can surprise me and stays on my fave list.. in e end, all i can say is tt its kind of overated..
Rate: 6.5/10 (kind of finish e drama for the sake of completing it)

Weekend Special: Korean Actors - Kang Sang Woo & Kang Dong Won
lets have some eye candy today.. =P
introducing 2 of my fave korean actors..
1. Kang Sang Woo (acted in Stairways to Heaven)
2. Kang Dong Won (acted in A Funny Wild Girl/Country Princess, Duelist)
most singaporeans may not have heard of the latter actor cos e above two shows are not shown in spore, but i must say he is one HOT dude.. hee..

this used to be at the walls of wisma artium outside the face shop.. drool dao bu xing.. then i nearly want to ask a stranger to help take a pic of me posing beside him.. lol
he looks like so ji sup (another korean actor & one of my fave too) here but obviously more gorgeous looking.. hah..
omg, he looks so damn good in all e poses... and looks at his muscle!!
2. Kang Dong Won
unlike kang sang woon, he is the more si wen type.. looks like prince charming.. fell in love with him when i first saw him in country princess.. wanted to watch his other shows but heard tt they are just avg so.. why so similar to kim jae won (another korean actor & one of my fave too)??

TGIF
having a bad sore throat today.. dunno why.. perhaps of the weather?? idiot..
to make things worse, i still nid to do more phone survey today.. cos e proportion of the applicants i first surveyed is rather skewed and not reflective of the true proportion.. luckily got e new intern, Joshua, to help me.. helpful guy.. anyway the longer i work with him, the more i unknowingly associate him with another guy.. Maybe its e the impression he give me ba, n some of his behaviour also..
Getting along better with e rest of e interns too, now more interaction between us.. for the past 3 wks, everyone seems to be busy with his/her own stuffs but after mon interns assembly line, there is now an unspoken mo qi among us, which is good cos my philosophy is the more friends the merrier =]
Anyway this week seems to be quite a happening week.. the Indonesia earthquake causing serious casualties came as a surprise to me.. cos i thought its the end of story aft Mt Merapi erupted but how wrong i am.. now there were talks about the earthquake tiggering another Mt Merapi eruption.. oh no.. i think tts e last thing Indonesians wan ba.. just when Aceh is still somewhat suffering from the aftermath of the unforgettable Tsunami, finally jus when Indonesia is having some peace and its economy is on the recovery.. wondering why Indonesia is rather 多灾多难。。
its nearest neighbour, East Timor is no better. its in a chaotic state now.. cant believe East Timor is a 6 yr old country liao.. time realli flies man.. but it seems like East Timor has not progressed much with e times.. from e TV, it seems like nothing has changed.. 老天爷似乎不特别眷顾这个国家。。 有时想想，我能生在国泰民安的新加坡， 真是我的福气。虽然家家有本难念的经，我常常有学业与人际关系的烦恼，但至少我不愁吃不愁穿，比起那些每天为了三餐温饱而疲于奔波的人强得多了。难道这是前辈子修来的福气？
最后是台湾总统的丑闻，看了媒体的报道后，我不知是否该说他们是罪有应得。滥用权力来索取大笔的不义之财可以说是知法犯法， 那为什么还明知山有虎偏向虎山行？我觉得是‘贪’字害得这第一家庭沦落到这个地步。我之前说过其实贪并不是坏事，但总该知道那些行动是可为或不可为吧。要知道纸是始终就包不住火的，何必早知如此何必当初呢？但其实人总是认为自己的运气挺好的，所以就开始人心不足蛇吞象。 等到已深陷入其中才发现自己已不能自拔。。
其实新加坡也不乏这些贪污案件， 但这件事毕竟涉及第一家庭与某些政府高官，才会引起这么大的反应吧。这官官相护的情形不禁让我想起了古代那些腐败贪污的官员。 中国历史的朝代的没落的幕后推手之一就是这些官员。难道他们没有从历史中吸取教训？经过这起风波， 民进党应该会花很长的时间与精力才能重新取得台湾民众的支持吧。正所谓创业难，守业更难，我个人认为台独主义应该会毁在陈总统的手上。
Singapore is truly blessed with a clean and efficient government. but will this continue in the future? we cant take this for granted.. cos u neva know.. people might change as time pass by, esp the temption to secure large amount of wealth may be too great to resist. someone may resort to using power to get wealth and vice versa.. not surprising as money and power are two things that human have been longing for since ages ago.. so i must say tt the govt has a challenging task ahead.. well, life is never easy anyway...
