but finally my home is in a much more presentable state right now.. ;) though there are still some bits of cleaning to be done after the end of CNY
it did surprises me at how much rubbish was being created and thrown away cuz i dont clear my things just once a year.. & i still have loads of barang barangs now..

now still recovering from all the activities.. not complaining tho cuz even for cleaning, e sense of achievement after e hard work outweighs e fatigue.. & also went to Chinatown for countdown for the first time and got real cheap bargains!!! no wonder there were many ppl like us who were braving the crowd and the rain cuz 一切都是值得的.. hee now looking forward to do e same for next year and i will definitely go better prepared.. haha
its good to feel clean and relaxed/pampered for the upcoming Lunar New Year..
haven been looking forward to Lunar New Year for at least the past 2 years now so im a little surprised tt im looking forward to it which is certainly a good sign..
I will say tt e hot news in sg right now is the proposed pay cut of ministerial salaries..
for me, i do agree with some of the measures but have reservations on others..
for example, it still didnt fully convince me why minister salaries need to peg to private sector.. cuz running a country is so so different from running a company!!
there is also this suitability problem.. will ministers for sure be top rank execs in private companies should they choose not to enter politics?
finally will the high pay necessarily get e top talent?? plus im also not sure if im totally sold if a minister is just working in the civil service his/her whole life.. civil service, to me, is like a greenhouse, sheltered from all the thunder and storms.. in this case, how can a person really grow and see e world??
haivng some glimpse into how e rich Arab lives, i think i am beginning to understand why at times it is hard for e rich to keep in touch with e ground..
i shudder to think if our gahmen are also leading this kind of lifestyle tt i saw, how capable are they in reaching out to the ground etc
